In every level there is something that you must light, burn, melt, ect. with your flame. If you don’t do this you will be short a fairy in every world. Some examples of things to flame:

Each level has something diferent so you got to figure it out and flame away. There are about ten or so of these objects I never really counted. But once you leave the world you must start all over with the flaming.
