Take Full Advantage Of Single Player Matches

Here's the deal. You're free to dive right into online multiplayer. Not going to stop you. With this in mind, you'll gain so much more from solo missions. First and foremost, single player gives you valuable practice against computer-controlled opponents across the game's handful of maps. Second, you stand to gain valuable experience points to unlock weapons and equipment, along with a little virtual currency to go towards purchasing new toys and other goodies. You'll receive the same perks in multi, but at least your confidence will remain intact. Plus, you'll be able to complete a myriad of objectives for even more loot.

Swap Out Heads, Torsos And Legs

Upon earning thousands of dollars, your first thought will probably involve purchasing a new shotgun or rocket launcher. Not a bad idea, really, but a little customization goes a long way. The game includes a variety of different heads, torsos and legs for your soldier, and there's more to this than simple aesthetics. Swapping parts comes with game-changing boosts, like increased accuracy, agility and health. At the end of the day, who doesn't need more of that?

Enhance Your Skills

In leveling up, you have access to a plethora of unique skills to make your warrior a more efficient killing machine. These range from increasing health by 10 percent, to raising maximum speed five percent and ammo by 10 percent. You'll need to reach specific levels to unlock the entire skills tree, along with cash and gold coins to make this happen. We say go for it, because most players will be too interested in acquiring new weapons to even bother with this facet of the game.

If you play games on the regular, then you already know the benefit to blasting one of these babies. The resulting explosion will take out or significantly damage players within the vicinity.

Reload Manually

The last thing you need is to open fire on the enemy, only to realize there are a couple bullets remaining, forcing your character to reload while the opposition retaliates. On that note, a manual reload between kills will save you much embarrassment.

Explosives Turn The Proverbial Tide

You should always have grenades on your person, or dynamite and landmines. Against high-level players, bullets simply won't get the job done 100 percent of the time, whereas lobbing some grenades into a group of characters softens them up. Hey, the people you're up against will do the same to you.

Always Pick Up Medals

Dead enemies leave behind shiny medals that, once collected, imbue your character with a bonus. Grab as many as you can.

Tips From The Developers

A specific weapon can be a good choice for certain objectives and a bad choice for others.

Adapt your strategy to your equipped weapon. Try using boxes or columns as cover while using the shotgun or firing from a high vantage point while equipped with a Bazooka.

The game will always try to pair you against opponents of the same level of competence.

Notice that in a multiplayer match, some items will disappear from the map when you are killed.

When a teammate or yourself are killed, you'll leave a red colored medal on the ground. You can collect these red medals to deny them to your enemies. You will win a few points too.

In Team Vs., the winning team will be the one that collects the most team points during a match. Team points are earned by collecting medals dropped by killed enemies.

You can view all achievements and your progress with the Achievements button in the Main Menu.

You will know if new items are available in the Shop when an exclamation mark is shown over the Shop icon.

Some weapons also modify your moving speed. As a rule of thumb, the heavier weapons slow you down more than lighter weapons.
