When you first load up the game, you will be greeted with the characters from the movie, and Sid and Diego look amazingly close in detail to the characteristics they have from the film. You get a small tutorial that shows you how to separate the piece of ice from the large ice and snow covered lands, then you have to quickly get into a ship to start your adventure and find all of your friends you are coming to rescue. It’s important to note that you will notice the voice actors right off the bat, which is really cool if you are a fan of the movies, and enjoy the funny and quirky interactions between the characters.
You will be told that you need to save all of the Ice Age creatures who have been swept out at sea and are on various islands within the area. Some of the animals include beavers and white tigers, as well as sea lions and many other magnificent creatures. You will quickly begin your voyage to one of the many islands that you will have to clear in order to find the animals and the items you need to progress through the game. You will learn that the berries are important for helping you clear the trees and other debris from the islands, whereas the shells give you the ability to build the habitats, which are important for collecting all of the rescued animals. The fun part about this is that once you put your animal in the habitat, you will begin collecting berries from keeping the animal safe and rescuing it, which is good if you prefer not to spend real money on getting more berries.
